Spam Stats

Ran some stats today on our SpamAssassin implementation on Windows with the Microsoft IIS SMTP as a relay filter. Looks like since July 3, SA has filtered over 88,000 spam messages and let through around 12,000 messages as not spam. That’s about an 86 percent ratio of spam over non-spam.

I’ve only noticed about 3 spam messages that have come to my address through the SMTP relay through that period, and they were all scored right on the bubble. If you have any questions about my implementation of SA on a Windows platform, I’d be glad to share it.

I wrote a longer piece about what I did in the July archives.
